I wanted to let you know that the speaker recommendation you gave me (12" Alnico HE1)for my 79' Deluxe Reverb was PERFECT! At first, it sounded kinda of "dark" but I liked the high end and mids. I have been playing it quite a bit and I played a gig on Sunday and WOW, the tone just keep getting better, just like I have been reading about and what you said. I can't believe the tone is just fantastic, every sound, clean, overdriven, any pick up. it's just fantastic! I have been playing and gigging for more years that I will admit and this is finally the tone I have been looking for! When I can afford it, I am going for the "H Bomb" in my Twin!! Thanks again!!

The JBL D130 that you reconed for me is a mother of a bad ass speaker! I have it installed in a Mojo cabinet that doesn't do the speaker enough justice. The cabinets i'm getting will be amazing... when all is said and done i'll send a photo of the finished products. Anyway, the speaker is amazing.
Stock Jensens in the Vibrolux? Feh. They started sounding like paper bags, especially in the lows. Popped in a pair of 10" San Rafaels... now that's what we're talkin' about. I can list all those tone geek words here: sweet, tight, smooth, punchy, singing... but hearing it is worth a trillion words.
I have a pair of 40/40s in my wedge monitors for my (mostly) acoustic band. It's a treat to have the monitor sound out of my head space. The transparent quality feels like a living room rehearsal. Thanks.
